Question Otyugh's Cry

Otyugh's Cry - Shout
All animals in the area become hostile to your target and gain +20 armor for 30 seconds. Otyugh's Cry cannot turn charmed animals against their masters or their master's allies. (50% chance of failure with Beast Mastery 4 or less.)

Well, my Mo/R has this. It seemed like a good idea to be able to call other animals to attack a particular enemy, but perhaps I'm misunderstanding it. I get the armor bonus... but aside from that, what other uses does it have?

Eventually when I get my R/# (haven't decided on a second yet) into post, I'm going to pick this up for when I'm just farming with my pet.

like in IWAY one or two groups would bring this useally one warrior or a ranger use there bow on a trapper or a monk or wutever..like a trapper is trapping start shooting at the ranger use otyughs cry all your pets in the party will stay on that target delaying him to be able to trap.. keeps a monk preoccupied.

So.. it's all pets, but not background animals?

Plus, the defense bonus is applied to all pets affected... correct?

If I'm understanding you, then it sounds like a good defense bonus plus a way to give pets better direction (since the AI sucks at attacking who you want without this skill).

Yes, it will affect surrounding wild animals, however IMO they die so fast anyways that it's not worth the skill slot if that's the use you intend.

Nah.. primary intent is a defensive bonus to my pet. +20 is kinda like Physcial Resistance (mesmer stance) .. although I'm pretty sure that does a +40 to armor.

N E Rate...
Defense bonus + synergy of other pets = good skill (IMO)
